With school starting back up, comes the end of our civil engineering internship program. The last two summers, we had the pleasure of having Richie Chikonde on our team as our Civil Engineering intern. Richie was a valuable asset to the team by contributing wherever he could, producing great work, and expressing his cheerful nature. We are excited for him to be finishing up his last year of his bachelor’s degree at Boise State this fall!
The Land Group has been a supporter of the Idaho Youth Ranch now for several years. This year we were a corporate sponsor for their latest fundraising effort. We are proud to be a partner with such a great organization!
How do you organize a solar eclipse party? You Planet! The Land Group team took a break today to enjoy the solar eclipse with a viewing party, with friends, family, snacks and drinks.
With the end of summer comes the end out our 2017 internship program. This summer, we had the pleasure of having Elaine Zabriskie join our team as our Landscape Architecture intern. She made great contributions to the company by producing high-quality work and expressing her persistently positive attitude. Although we will miss her, we are excited for her to continue her educational journey in the profession by completing the last year of her bachelor’s degree in Baton Rouge this fall!
The Land Group is committed to designing resilient land development projects and this commitment extends to powering our own office. Our rooftop solar install from EGT Solar is in its second full year and continues to not only offset our energy costs but also reduce carbon emissions!
Congratulations to Albertsons for breaking ground at the new Broadway and Beacon store in Boise, Idaho! The Land Group, Inc. is very proud to be part of the design team.
The TLG Survey Crew has been busy running up and down the mountain assisting in the correct placing of the future mountain coaster track at Bogus Basin. The coaster is scheduled to open this August!

She started off with a site visit at the progressing St. Ignatius Catholic School, learning the ins and outs of site visits and project observation reports. We are happy to have her with us this summer!
