Barber Park is a heavily used county park in Southeast Boise for which Ada County had proposed a new Events Center. The Land Group was contracted to provide landscape architecture and civil engineering services for the site, including master planning, site concepts, cost estimates, and construction plans. Design considerations included taking account of existing landscaping, wetlands, and mature trees, providing overflow parking, and designing to accommodate potential flooding from the adjacent Boise River. At a more detailed level, The Land Group worked with the building architects, designing the pedestrian plaza, decorative paving, ramps, and seat walls.
