Greystone Communities partnered with The Land Group for surveying, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and graphic design services for a signature retirement development on a 13 acre site in East Boise, Idaho. The community caters to a variety of residents with different accommodation needs ranging from independent residents in apartments and cottages, to those in need of long term skilled nursing. The Land Group provided designs from concept through construction documents which included designs for decorative plazas and gathering areas, seat walls, pergolas, gardens and walkways. The planting designs addressed needs for screening, enhancement of mountain views, privacy, and security while providing year round interest and a focus on water conservation. Two water features were designed, one at the main entry plaza and the other at the dining patio, both complemented with seat walls and site furnishings. Civil design included grading and drainage plans, incorporating storm water swales with pocket parks, and roadway and utility design.
