The Riverside Hotel, originally branded as the Rodeway Inn in 1970, exudes mid-century charm and boasts unparalleled access to the activity nodes of Garden City and Boise. Shortly after its rebranding as the Riverside Hotel in 2011, The Land Group actively engaged with Riverside Hospitality to help define a cohesive vision for the site marked by its deep commitment to the community’s arts scene and the plants and animals endemic to the Boise River watershed.

The Land Group’s interdisciplinary team has served as an integral advisor and representative as the hotel has modernized its facilities to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. Iterative planning and design support and demonstrated performance has lead to continuous work in addressing the growth of the Treasure Valley and assisting the hotel be a leader in providing ecosystem services to the Boise River.

Impact
The Riverside Hotel serves as a modern event center, arts venue, city gateway, iconic hotel, and beloved “staycation” spot that has evolved to meet today’s needs. From live music venues, pool amenity spaces, public bikeways, river crossings, public river accesses, and 1,500 feet of ecological revegetation and interpretive signage, the project has helped define Garden City’s vibrant east end and catalyze the enthusiasm for the area.
